The Armed Forces History Museum proudly announces “On the Air – A Tribute to Bob Hope and the Radio Stars of the 1940s: Jack Benny, Red Skelton and Jimmy Durante” presented by Bosley & Bratch – Lawyers for Veterans, on Friday, February 3, 2017 at the Kapok Special Events Center in Clearwater, FL.  A raffle, silent auction, free hors d’oeuvres, cash bar and mingling with vendors will take place from 5pm to 6:45pm.  Show time is from 7pm to 9pm and includes an intermission.  The Armed Forces History Museum is joining with Lifestyles After 50, a senior lifestyle magazine, to bring this event to Pinellas County.  Walgreens will provide each attendee with a free gift bag upon exiting the event.

The show is staged as a 1940s NBC radio broadcast complete with an on-stage staff announcer, reading vintage commercial copy of the period with a humorous touch, presenting recorded jingles of the era.  The interaction with Hope and his legendary radio and movie guest stars, Skelton, Benny and Durante, is a comedy music-filled trip back to the golden age of entertainment.

Tickets are on sale now at armedforcesmuseum.com, by calling 727.539.8371 or in person at the museum.  Tickets will be available the evening of the event at the Kapok Special Events Center located at 923 McMullen Booth Road in Clearwater if available.  The Armed Forces History Museum is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to honoring and preserving the history and memories of the military and its veterans.  For more information, please visit armedforcesmuseum.com.
