To Benefit PARC presented by Sun Country Dry Cleaners
Unclaimed Clothing Sale is now planned by Sun Country Dry Cleaners to benefit PARC! There are deals to be had, and not just for special occasions, at The Sun Country Cleaners “Unclaimed Clothing Sale”. Join us Saturday, November 9th from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church located at 3451 30th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33713.
At the Unclaimed Clothing Sale, thousands of freshly cleaned items, unclaimed by customers and donated by Sun Country Cleaners will be on sale for $5 per item during the sale. Items available for purchase include designer label business suits, dresses, men’s dress shirts, sweaters, sport shirts, blouses, ties, trousers and more from sizes XS through 3X. Also available will be linens and bedspreads.
Wondering how this sale came to be? It all started when the McCarthy sisters, owners of Sun Country Cleaners, toured the PARC campus and met many of the individuals participating in services. The sisters wanted to create a way to bring recognition to PARC, Inc. as well as be able to raise much needed funding for the organization. After brainstorming, they decided to take the clothing items that were a year past the due date and hold an “Unclaimed Clothing” Sale which is when this long-time partnership began. Now if a customer does not pick up their order, Sun Country Cleaners considers it as a donation to PARC, Inc.!
It’s recommended that guests arrive early to get in line, as each year as the line to peruse the items gets longer and longer. 100% of the proceeds from this annual sale benefit PARC, Inc., a non-profit agency supporting children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and The Beth Dillinger Foundation. Sun Country Dry Cleaners has been a long-standing supporter of PARC, and over the years this event has raised more than $100,000 to help enhance our mission.
